Help Send Zookeeper Jenna to Africa

Jenna Wolczyk has been a keeper at Nashville Zoo for 11 years, and her passion for the giraffe has flourished throughout that time. If you have been on a behind the scenes tour in the past eight years, you have probably encountered her and seen how much she cares for these magnificent creatures. Jenna has been looking for more active ways to take part in giraffe conservation and was recently introduced to Save Giraffes Now. The organization has proposed a trip that will take Jenna to the Athi-Kapiti area of Kenya to work with a local researcher on a highway crossing project and to the Ruko Conservancy to assist with giraffe translocation projects. With your help, we can send Jenna on this trip to make a wonderful contribution to giraffe conservation!

Save Giraffes Now is one of the top conservation groups dedicated to giraffes. They have worked with National Geographic to produce a short documentary about the rescue of nine giraffes from a flooding island in the Ruko area of Kenya, and they have active projects in 10 different countries across the continent of Africa. By working with local communities, they have made an impact on three tiers of conservation: rescue and rewilding, anti-poaching, and coexistence. Nashville Zoo is excited to see how this partnership grows over the years!
